Is Trader Joe's Coming to Tewksbury?

TEWKSBURY, MA - There have been a lot of rumors that Trader Joe’s is opening in Tewksbury, some even saying one could go in the former Home Goods location on Main Street. But is that the case?

Tewksbury Patch confirmed with Trader Joe’s Wednesday that the store many area residents have been clamoring for isn’t part of the company’s two-year plan for store openings.

Earlier this year a group of Wilmington residents joined together starting a social media group on Facebook one entitled “Bring Trader Joe’s to Wilmington, MA” in the hopes Trader Joe’s representatives hear their request to bring a location to that town.

Trader Joe's confirmed a Wilmington location is also not in the company's two-year store opening plan.

Trader Joe’s encourages residents in towns without one of their markets to request a location -- no guarantees, of course. There’s even an online form you can fill out to recommend a location where you’d like to see a Trader Joe’s, even right here in Tewksbury.
