Traffic Backed Up in Tewksbury After Boat Comes Dislodged on 495 South
Just after 1 p.m. police said the left lane near Exit 38 was closed due to the accident.
Massachusetts State Police said a boat came dislodged from a vehicle on I-495 South, causing significant traffic delays on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place around 1 p.m. near Exit 38, and about 20 minutes later State Police tweeted that the left lane would remained closed while clean up took place.
Drivers reported that traffic was at a standstill in the area on Saturday afternoon.
State Police Trooper Dustin Fitch estimated the boat would be cleaned up by about 2 p.m.
