Two Arrested for Cocaine Distribution Following Traffic Stop
One of the men provided a false ID saying he was Jose Feliciano.
Tewksbury, MA - Two Merrimack Valley men are facing drug charges following a traffic stop by Tewksbury Police on Thursday.
On Thursday, April 21, the Tewksbury Police Department arrested Edwin Maldonado-Santos, 40, of 15 Garfield Street, Lawrence and Edward Cordero-Pinales, 27, of 83 Kenmore Road Apt. # 2, Methuen for distribution of cocaine (class b) and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. Additionally, Cordero Pinales was charged with possession of cocaine (class b). Maldonado-Santos was also charged with failure to stop for police, operating a motorvehicle with a suspended license, furnishing a false name to police and he also had awarrant out of Concord District Court for possession of a class b substance and furnishinga false name to police.
Detectives observed the drug transaction on Delehanty Drive near Whipple Road.

Initially, Maldonado-Santos did not stop for police when signaled. After a stop and investigation, cocaine was located.
During the booking process it was revealed that Maldonado-Santos used a false name and provided a Puerto Rican I.D. of Jose Feliciano. His fingerprints revealed that he was in fact Maldonado-Santos and had a warrant out of Concord District Court.
