2 Teens Charged In Wakefield Shooting

A 21-year-old woman was found shot in the neck in the parking garage of the Everly Apartments Tuesday.

WAKEFIELD, MA — Two teenage boys have been charged in connection with a non-fatal shooting in Wakefield Tuesday, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said. A 21-year-old woman was found shot in the neck in the parking garage of the Everly Apartments complex around 3:40 a.m., the DA's office said. She remained hospitalized Wednesday, authorities said.

A 17-year-old from Wakefield faces charges of possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, receiving a firearm with a defaced serial number and possession of a large capacity feeding device. A 16-year-old from Lynn has been charged with carrying a firearm without a license and carrying a loaded firearm without a license.

The teens were found at the scene, authorities said. Both were in possession of separate weapons, according to the DA.

The 17-year-old was arraigned in Cambridge Juvenile Court. The 16-year-old is expected to be arraigned Thursday.
