Bluegrass concert Wednesday On Wakefield Common

Mile Twelve performance part of the Linden Tree Coffeehouse summer concerts.

WAKEFIELD — Come see (and hear) Mile Twelve Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on the Lower Common as part of the Linden Tree Coffeehouse free summer shows.

According to the LTC website, Mile Twelve is a fresh, hard driving young band beautifully walking the line between original and traditional bluegrass. Fast gaining recognition for their outstanding performances in bluegrass and folk circles, Evan Murphy, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Nate Sabat, BB Bowness and David Benedict write captivating songs and daring instrumental pieces from diverse influences. Banjo luminary Tony Trischka says, “Mile Twelve is carrying the bluegrass tradition forward with creativity and integrity.”

Bring your chairs and blankets, and maybe a picnic dinner for your family to the Wakefield Common (intersection of Main and Church Streets) for one or both of the lively free summer concerts LTC is offering this summer right by the lake. You can watch the sunset and there is plenty of space for young to old to dance. A perfect evening outing.
