District Attorney In Town To Discuss Scams Targeting Seniors

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Tuesday, Nov. 12. Here are five things worth knowing.

Today at 11 a.m., Middlesex County DA Marian Ryan is at the McCarthy Senior Center this morning at 11 a.m. to speak on ways seniors can stay safe from scams that target the elderly. Wakefield Police Chief Rick Smith is also reportedly among the participants.

The Beebe Library has announced that former Wakefield High School teacher Emily Homes, author of the book “Spirit Legacy,” will stop by to talk about the book and answer questions on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 3:30 p.m. To learn more about her book, check out this interview she did with Wakefield Patch during the summer.
