Entertainment Complex Proposed On Route 1

SAUGUS, MA — An entertainment complex has been proposed in the first floor of the Sears building at Square One Mall. Apex Entertainment is seeking a special permit for the facility, which would feature mini golf, go-karts, bowling, laser tag, an arcade, a restaurant, bar and more, Wicked Local reported.

The building would have a maximum capacity of 1,400 people, including 300 at the restaurant, according to Wicked Local. Apex Entertainment is also requesting the transfer of an all-alcohol common victualer's license from Sully C's.

If approved, the complex will be the company's fifth in the country. Apex Entertainment has locations in Marlborough, Syracuse, Albany and Virginia Beach.
