Free Movie Night at the Beebe Library "The Italian Americans”, Part 2
Free Movie, "The Italian Americans", sponsored by Wakefield Sons of Italy

Regardless of whether you attended the recent Italian Festival in Wakefield, or have seen the first episode of the acclaimed PBS documentary, you will want to see the second part of the PBS film “The Italian Americans*”. In celebration of October as Italian Heritage Month, the Wakefield Sons of Italy invites the public to join them on Tuesday, October 4th at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy this film.
Part 1 encompassed the strength of the family and their Italian roots, as well as how they dealt with becoming Americans. Part 2 delves in to how later generations became loyal Americans and strived to achieve the “American Dream”.
David Wiegand of the San Francisco Chronicle states in his review “…the real strength of his film rests in the care with which he builds his case about the epic struggles Italian Americans have had over the years, and their invaluable contributions to a culture that took a long time to accept them.”
