Helping Animals in Need: The 2nd Annual PAWS 4K Fun Run/Walk
November 3, 9:00 am. Reading Town Forest, 85 Sunset Rock Lane, Reading

On November 3, runners and walkers from Reading, Wakefield, Lynnfield, Melrose, Woburn, Stoneham and surrounding communities will come together in the Reading Town Forest for the 2nd Annual PAWS on the Trail 4K Fun Run/Walk & Kitty Kat Dash. Designed to raise funds for the hundreds of homeless animals PAWS cares for each year, the event is open to individuals of all ages, as well as teams and families, and includes a free Kitty Kat Dash for kids under 12.
“Over the last few years, PAWS has been inundated with requests for help with stray and abandoned cats, rehoming animals surrendered by their owners, and caring for kittens born outdoors,” says PAWS President, Susan DiMeo. “Our medical costs have skyrocketed. The Fun Run is a great way to bring members of the community together to raise much-needed funds for food, routine surgeries, emergency care, and wellness expenses. We are so grateful for the runners who participate, as well as the local businesses who support the event.”
Fun Run sponsors include VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital, Woburn Animal Hospital, The Savings Bank (Wakefield), Arch Painting, North Reading Veterinary Clinic, Moynihan Lumber, The UPS Store (Wakefield), Parker Florist, PrintGraphics, Inc., Marathon Sports, Whitelam Books, Biltmore & Main, Best Friends Pet Care, Cup Cake City, Lilah Rose, Miter Biter Frame Co., Target (Woburn), Shaw’s Wakefield, Shaw’s Melrose, and Rada Boutique.
