Hopkins Street Bridge Detours Extended In Wakefield

WAKEFIELD, MA — Work on the Hopkins Street bridge resulting in road closures and detours has been extended in Wakefield, according to MassDOT. Hopkins Street will have no through traffic between Tarrant Lane and Brook Street on Thursday, Aug. 13 and Monday, Aug. 17.

Closures were originally scheduled Aug. 10-12.

Residential access is allowed at the following locations:

• North of the bridge through Tarrant Lane, and
• South of the bridge through Brook Street.

Traffic across the bridge will be granted for emergency access.

Road work is scheduled for 7 a.m. through 4 p.m. Normal traffic operations will resume after 4 p.m.
