I-95 Crash Jams Traffic For Miles

Massachusetts State Police said the Wakefield crash involved multiple vehicles and possibly injuries.

WAKEFIELD, MA — There was heavy traffic in both directions of Interstate 95 Thursday morning after a multi-vehicle crash in Wakefield. It appeared several people may have been hurt, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The crash scene was cleared by about 10:15 a.m, but miles-long delays remained in both directions of the interstate. Southbound traffic was jammed back to Route 1, while curiosity delays caused northbound tie-ups by I-93.
