Join the Creation Care Team - An Easy Way to Make a Difference!
It's a Great Way to Show Pride in Our Beautiful Lake!

- Do you enjoy fresh air and walking around Lake Quannapowitt?
- Would you, your teen and/or your family or groups of friends enjoy spending more time out-doors?
- Are you a group looking for a service project?
- Do you have teens who would like to do volunteer activities for work, school projects, or for college resumes?
A group of concerned citizens has been meeting the past two Saturdays to enjoy the fresh air and clean up trash around the lake, either as individuals or in groups. They will be meeting again this Saturday, April 3 at 8:30 a.m., and would love you to join them. Bring yourself, your family, and friends—no experience necessary.
The “Creation Care Initiative”—launched by Emmanuel Episcopal Church under the leadership of resident and parishioner Tim Green—is inviting all parishioners, residents of Wakefield and surrounding towns to join in this fun, refreshing ministry that helps keep our environment and the lake a beautiful place for our community to share.
Over time, we hope that groups or individuals will adopt an area of the lake that they can commit to cleaning regularly on their own time. Frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly), dates, and times, and amount of time spent is flexible. You can go on your own or team up with family, other families, and/or friends.

If you, your teen, and/or your family, groups of friends, or your congregation or civic group enjoy spending more time outdoors, or you have teens that would like to do volunteer activities for work, school projects, or for college resumes, we hope you will join us.
On Saturday, we will have plenty of bags to share. Please bring gloves and, if you have a pair, 36-inch grabbers; they are quite helpful, although not required.
