Macbeth Coming to Stoneham Theatre

Wakefield's Meyldia McCall, Gabby Pandolfo, and Allie Patch part of Young Company's performance of Shakespeare classic Saturday, May 20.

Co-directed by IRNE Award Winner Sarah Gazdowicz and Laura Baronet, the young company at Stoneham Theatre presents William Shakespeare’s Macbeth on Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m. as part of the Spring Shakespeare program.

Journey to Scotland and explore the psychological effects of prophecies and political power. Macbeth discovers that he is fated to be King. This fate, however, proves to be more of a curse than a blessing as murder, political uprisings, and mayhem ensue. Provoked by his wife and preoccupied with greed, Macbeth begins a tragic descent into madness.

The Spring Shakespeare program brings classical theatre to life. This audition-based program for students in grades 4–12 develops skills in text analysis and telling the story through emotion, physicality, and jest. This culminates in performances on Stoneham Theatre’s stage and at local libraries.
