The MBTA’s Forging Ahead initiative aims to adapt to changing ridership and lost revenue caused by COVID-19. This includes reducing service where it is not being used and focusing available resources on essential services. The cuts being proposed by the MBTA impact, among other areas, the Melrose Cedar Park station; the 136 bus route; commuter rail service; and Orange Line service.
