Meet Wakefield's 17 Runners In The 2020 Boston Marathon

WAKEFIELD, MA — This ain't just a race. For some, it's a personal triumph, a culmination of a turning point in their lives. Others run in memory of a loved one whose life was robbed by cancer, Alzheimer's, ALS or another deadly disease. And some are professional runners who are in it to win it.

Whatever the reason, it's a big deal to get there, and an even bigger deal to finish the Boston Marathon, which covers 26.2 miles from the Hopkinton starting line through the Boston route.

There are some familiar faces on the list, and some newbies. Take a look at the runners from Wakefield who are signed up to participate in the 2020 Boston Marathon, set for Monday, April 20.
