Obituary: Frank Drake, 48, of Wakefield

Frank Drake died unexpectedly at his Wakefield home at the age of 48.

Frank was raised in Medford the son of the late Dannie and Adeline (Cervone) Drake. A devoted and loving father, grandfather and brother, Frank had a passion for automobiles. For 25 years he worked in the auto repair industry and had his own shop, Drake’s Auto Body, for the past several years with his garage in Woburn. He enjoyed being a mechanic and fixing cars.

The beloved father of Chrissy Messina and her husband John of Kingston, New Hampshire, and Alyssa Drake of Saugus, he was a loving grandfather of Jayden, Madison and Shawn Jr. He was a dear brother to Patricia Hickey of New Port Richey, Florida, Carolyn Roberts and her husband Donnie of Everett and Stephanie Hamilton of Everett and her late husband Neil. The nephew of Gerald Cervone of Peabody, he was a dear uncle to Sara, Danielle, Steven, Matthew and Ryan.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit on Monday, 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
