PAWS provides assistance to pets, and their people, in need

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?

PAWS volunteers have continued to support their community thru their response line and web presence throughout the pandemic. They have managed to keep doing adoptions while adhering to social distancing guidelines. They have continued to assist with numerous stray cat calls, rescued several and even helped with a cat stuck up a tree! In addition, PAWS is receiving calls regarding pets needing to be surrendered due to Covid19 related deaths and will be either taking pets in to their network or advising people of other organizations who may be able to help.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?

This is a very dedicated group of volunteers. There is a financial impact to this non-profit during this pandemic and yet their services are very much in need as people seek out the comfort of pets during the stay at home orders, and will be in even greater need as more pets lose their owners.
