September Home Sales Increased In Wakefield
As of the end of September, 168 home sales reported in Wakefield.

Home sales in Wakefield posted significant year over year improvement in September, according to new data from the Warren Group.
The real estate information company reported that September saw 21 home sales in Wakefield, compared to 13 for that month in 2012 – an improvement of more than 61%. Year to date, 168 home sales were reported in Wakefield at the end of September, 2013. For that month last year, the number stood at 137, representing a 22.6% gain since then.
The September median sale price in Wakefield was $408,000 this year, which is almost identical to the $407,000 median sale price for all of 2013. The median sale price has improved about 7.5% since last year at this time, when it was $378,350.
"Despite rising interest rates, home sales have remained high this year, particularly booming in the third quarter," said The Warren Group CEO Timothy M. Warren Jr. "Median prices continue their upward surge with a 16 percent gain. These data show that there continues to be strong demand and a shortage of supply.
