New Sushi Restaurant Gets Victualler's Approval
Former master sushi chef at Sushi Island reportedly gets victualer's license in Marblehead for restaurant to be located at 114 Pleasant Street in that town.

A sushi restaurant received Marblehead selectmen's approval for its victualler's application Wednesday.
Junji Aoki applied for the license, required of establishments that cook and serve food, for 114 Pleasant Street in Marblehead, the former home to Joey D's Italian Grille.
The sushi restaurant is expected to return to selectmen some time in the future to seek approval for a liquor license, said Marblehead Town Administrator Jeff Chelgren.
A master chef by the name of Junji Aoki was recently serving sushi at a popular longtime downtown Wakefield restaurant — Sushi Island — before the establishment was sold in August.
The owners, according to Wakefield Patch, wanted to pursue other restaurant opportunities.
No information was immediately available on when the restaurant plans to open.
Patch will report on the new restaurant's plan in the near future.
