Vision 2030 is a high-level, aspirational community visioning initiative. Visioning is a collective process where the community can “imagine the future” and think about how we can shape different parts of Town with different sets of ideas. The project’s first survey will close on March 26.

The initial workshop took place on Thursday, March 4, 2021, and covered topics like growth, housing, mobility, and parks and recreation. The corresponding community survey can be accessed at http://www.mapc.ma/Vision2030_WakefieldSurvey1. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Led by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), the project is possible, in part, through a Technical Assistance Program grant from that organization. The initiative’s three public workshops will cover a broad range of topics, from public infrastructure and historic preservation to environmental resiliency and educational opportunities. A second workshop and survey are tentatively scheduled for April.
