Wakefield Broadway MBTA Crossing Update
The FRA has suggested additional considerations at the crossing that the Town of Wakefield is investigating.
November 13, 2020
As you are likely aware, the MBTA crossing at Broadway did not open as anticipated. Although construction by the MBTA, National Grid, Wakefield DPW, and Wakefield Gas and Light was completed on October 23, approvals from the Federal Railway Administration (FRA) are required before the crossing can open to traffic. The inspection and approval process is taking longer than expected.
