Wakefield To Examine Albion Street Upgrades

WAKEFIELD, MA — Wakefield was awarded a Complete Streets grant in February to implement upgrades to Albion Street. These will include safety elements, like crosswalks, and aesthetic components, like plantings.

Albion could potentially serve as a model for the larger Envision Wakefield Downtown Revitalization plan. A virtual meeting will take place via Zoom on July 30 at 7 p.m. to discuss the design and reconstruction plan. Time will also be spent discussing street-scape and landscape themes for the Main Street portion of that project.
