Wakefield Memorial Day 2021: Ceremony Set For Monday

WAKEFIELD, MA — The town's annual Memorial Day ceremony is scheduled for Monday afternoon at the World War II Memorial on Veterans Memorial Common.
The ceremony is dependent on the weather. The forecast for Sunday at 1 p.m. is light rain and temperatures in the low 50s.
It will be hosted by the Wakefield Veterans Advisory Board. Air Force veteran David Mangan will give the keynote address. High school musicians Zachariah Baumhardt, Bianca Zani and Leah Goddard; Scout Troop 701; American Legion Post 63; Rabbi Gregory Hersh; and local leaders and legislators will take part.

Flags have already been placed at veterans' graves at Lakeside Cemetary and Forest Glade Cemetery (Friday afternoon.)
