WAKEFIELD, MA - Wakefield school resource officers Mike Pietrantonio, Kelley Tobyne, and Jason Skillings assisted at the Boys and Girls Club last week teaching kids about water safety through the Zac Foundation.

The ZAC Foundation worked closely with educators to create a classroom curriculum devoted to teaching the ABC and Ds of water safety, a release said.

Campers spend their classroom time learning valuable reading and writing skills, while advancing their knowledge of water safety, a release said. The Foundation also encourages discussion after camp at home by sending each child home with “homework," a release said. Assignments are intended to initiate dialogue amongst parents and siblings that are not attending our camp and to share critical safety tips, a release said.
