Wakefield Weather: Will the Snow Melt?

A look at Wakefield's forecast for the week.

WAKEFIELD, MA—The kids were off school today due to the snowy conditions, and while significant accumulations aren’t expected for the rest of the week, we could be dealing with some more wintry weather in Wakefield.

The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of snow showers on both Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. However, accumulations may reach less than an inch on Tuesday and there is not projected to be any further accumulation Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Tuesday: A chance of snow showers, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 30. North wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Wednesday : A chance of snow showers, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Light southwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Thursday: A chance of snow showers between 9am and 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 24.
