Wakefield's Wensley Earns All-New England Wrestling Accolade
Competing at 184, he finishes one win short of berth in nationals.

A release from Worcester Polytechnic Institute:
WORCESTER - Five WPI student-athletes, including Wakefield's Daniel Wensley, placed in the top six at the NCAA Division III Northeast Wrestling Regional this past weekend.
Tyler Marsh captured the 157 pound title while Michael Curtis was third at 197. Wensley was fourth at 184 and Brendan Marion and Nick Day were sixth in their respective weight classes.

Wensley twice was one win away from also going nationals but just fell short in the stacked 184 pound weight class. In the semifinals Wensley, seeded fourth, fell to top-seeded John Boyle of Western New England. The senior, ranked eighth nationally, bounced backed with a 4-2 decision over Plymouth State's Dylan da Silva but was defeated in the third place bout 7-3 by Paul Detwiler from Coast Guard.
