WATCH: State Police K9 Helps Nab Drug Suspect In Wakefield

WAKEFIELD, MA — Massachusetts State Police K9 Mattis helped catch a drug suspect who fled a traffic stop in Wakefield, police said. The man, wanted on drug charges, was pulled over at Water and Farm Streets Saturday afternoon and fled on foot, according to police.

Mattis helped track the man to a marshy area off Water Street, police said. Troopers in a State Police helicopter located the suspect lying down in the marsh to avoid capture.

The man was taken into custody and charged by Wakefield police. See video of the capture below.
