Water Street Paving In Wakefield From December 1

Paving is scheduled for Water Street (from Preston Street to Butler Avenue) on December 1. Work is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Pouring concrete for the excavated wheelchair ramps and sidewalks is scheduled for later this week.

All vehicles must be removed from the street and personal items should be removed from the edge of the construction site. A police officer will be present to assist should a medical or other emergency arise in the area. In the event of rain or equipment issues, the work schedule will be postponed and further notification will follow.

The milling and repaving of the section from Melvin to Preston is scheduled for the spring.
