A release/news from the Wakefield Center Neighborhood Association:

The Wakefield Center Neighborhood Association will hold its annual summer festival this Saturday at Lake Quannapowitt. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Crafters, artists, local organizations, live music, and great food comprise the day. The Festival has thrived for more than 25 years. The biggest attraction at the Festival is the sea of tents under which you will find only the best arts and crafts. Children will also enjoy the special activities at the Festival: face-painting, games, and rides.

There is food available at the main food tent, including burgers, healthy wraps, salads, watermelon, and dessert. Pricing is friendly too – a full meal is less than $5. In addition, there are select food vendors to round out your choices, including “the sausage guy,” a lemonade stand, fried dough, etc.

The Festival is organized by the WCNA as a fundraiser for its many community projects. All proceeds are used for town improvement projects and community events.
