Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory Begins Movies By The Lake
First of five Thursday moves starts with classic film.

WAKEFIELD - The Movies by the Lake season opens Thursday at the Quannapowitt bandstand. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory kicks things off at 8 p.m.
The film tells the story of an only child, Charlie Bucket, who receives a Golden Ticket and visits Willy Wonka's chocolate factory with four other children from around the world. According to Wikipedia, filming took place in Munich in 1970, and the film was released by Paramount Pictures on June 30, 1971.
Thursday is the first of five summer films. Next week it's Despicable Me followed on July 25th with Ralph Breaks the Internet. On August 1 it's Raiders of the Lost Ark. On Aug. 8, Mary Poppins Returns ends the season.
