2021 Dog Licenses Now Available In Walpole Town

Payments in the form of cash or check made payable to the Town of Walpole must be made at this time of licensing.

Current 2020 dog licenses expired on December 31, 2020. There is a licensing period from January 1st – February 28th to obtain your 2021 dog license. Dogs not licensed by March 1st are considered unlicensed and late fees will apply.

A current rabies certificate is required to be on file in order to license your dog(s). Residents should know that they can license their dog as long as the rabies certificate is current at the time of licensing, you do not need to wait to have a new rabies certificate that covers the rest of the licensing year, although it is expected that you will update the dogs rabies at time of vaccination expiration and that you will provide the Town Clerk’s office with a copy.

Licensing fees are $15 for Spayed/Neutered dogs and $20 for unaltered. Payments in the form of cash or check made payable to the Town of Walpole must be made at this time of licensing. Licenses not renewed before March 1st, will be subject to a $25.00 late fee.

Residents who no longer own a previously licensed dog are asked to notify the town to avoid late notices and fees at animalcontrol@walpole-ma.gov.

Dog licenses can be processed at the Town Clerks Office during business hours (Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays 8:00AM – 4:00PM, Tuesdays 8:00AM-8:00 PM, Friday 8:00AM-12:00PM) or by mail with the dog licensing form.
