Clare Scully to Lead Fairfield’s First Assisted Living Community

Sturges Ridge of Fairfield, a Benchmark Senior Living Assisted Living and Mind & Memory Care community, today announced that Clare Scully has been appointed executive director of the community. She previously served as the executive director of Sturges Ridge’s sister property, Middlebrook Farms at Trumbull, for four and a half years.

Scully brings over 20 years of luxury housing experience to Sturges Ridge. Although originally from Boston, she’s spent most of her career working in Manhattan and White Plains, New York. As the Managing Director for AKA, an award-winning long-stay lodging provider who works with brands like Wolfgang Puck, she oversaw an $86 million dollar renovation of a luxury rental property in Manhattan.

“Since Sturges Ridge opened more than two and a half years ago, it’s been known for providing outstanding service and experiences,” said Scully. “I’m excited to bring my luxury experience to the fine residents and families of Fairfield County so that we can continue to deliver a high level of service.”

Many of the Benchmark associates who opened Sturges Ridge two and a half years ago remain a part of this growing community, including lead concierge Mary Ellen Frango, who lives in Fairfield, and also programming director Bernadette Plescia. Frango, Plescia and other Benchmark associates have contributed to the community earning several TownVibe/Fairfield Magazine Readers Choice awards for their unique experiences that keep seniors and their families connected to the people, passions and things that matter most in their lives.
