ICYMI last night, the Mount Washington Observatory posted a quick review of the lunar eclipse. While the eclipse lasted five hours in real-time, this clip only lasts 12 seconds.
A rare total lunar eclipse offered a breathtaking view of the earth’s shadow slowly cover the moon, turning it blood orange and increasingly dark.

The edge of the nooon’s shadow began shortly after 8 Sunday night. The partial eclipse occurred just after 9 p.m. The total exlipse of the moon began at 10:11 p.m. Sunday, and the total eclipse peaked just before 11 p.m.
Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire is a nonprofit research and educational institution working to advance understanding of Earth’s weather and climate, according to their website.
