Cliff Snuffer Announces Candidacy for Walpole Selectmen
The following is a letter to the editor from Cliff Snuffer who has announced his candidacy for the Walpole board of selectmen.

“When life flashes by your eyes, like a running film…you should have done something to make it worth watching" -author unknown.
Having taken hundreds of votes over 30+ years, I have always cast my vote believing it to be in the best interest for all of Walpole. It is never easy to enter and play an active role in any prolonged fight; however, over the years, WALPOLE has experienced SO VERY MANY unusual issues...I got involved and stayed involved. All, noted below, were well worth the fight:

I continue to be so very concerned about the impact on the taxpayer, especially due to overspending, over taxing, and over regulating our daily lives from all levels of government (Federal, State, County, Local/Municipal).
I am a U.S. Navy Air veteran, an active Town Meeting member, former selectman, former planning board, as well as long-term member of the finance committee with several years as chairman. I truly believe that the most effective way to affect change is through continued activism and involvement.
Those who know me will say...”He always does his homework!”
Since voluntarily stepping down from my seat on the board of selectmen to keep a promise made to my wife (deceased), many people have approached me to return to elective office…I have been listening to their call.
Having consulted with my family and after great deliberation…we believe that I can continue to participate and contribute to the logical growth of the Town of Walpole. As a former selectman and retired executive, I can give the job the energy, time, knowledge and expertise that it truly requires.
March 13, 2013, I “pulled” nomination papers. I ANNOUNCE THAT I WILL ENTHUSIASTICLY SEEK A SEAT ON THE BOARD OF SELECTMAN, RESPECTFULLY SEEKING 1 OF YOUR 2 VOTES ON SAT. JUNE 1st.
I will also seek an RTM seat from the respected Precinct 2 area.
Please note:
Due to the continuing economic conditions facing all of us…I will not be accepting any monetary campaign contributions. It is my intention to run a frugal, self-funded, very active campaign.
