Near Record Heat Possible Tuesday and Wednesday in Walpole

Heat wave headed to the region as the week begins. Thunderstorms expected later in the week.

It may have felt like fall toward the end of last week, but the crisp weather won’t be around for the coming week. Temperatures will climb back into the 90s and stay there for most of the week, starting on Monday.

And near record heat is possible for Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

As the week begins expect hot temperatures and sunny skies. Scattered thunderstorms are currently in the forecast for Thursday afternoon into Friday night before clearing out overnight Friday.

  • Labor Day: Sunny skies for Labor Day with a high near 90. Clear skies continue Monday night with a low of 66.
  • Tuesday: A mostly sunny day and even warmer with temperatures reaching a high of 95. Clear to partly cloudy Tuesday night with the possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorm. Tuesday night’s low about 68 degrees.
  • Wednesday: Sunny skies Wednesday and a high of 93. Clear skies Wednesday night and a low of 67.
  • Thursday: Mostly sunny early in the day on Tuesday before scattered thunderstorms develop later in the day, with a high of 87. Variable clouds and more scattered thunderstorms Thursday night and a low of 65.
  • Friday: Cloudy with scattered thunderstorms on Friday, with a high of only 75. More scattered thunderstorms early Friday night before storms clear out and leave partly cloudy skie. Friday night’s low will be 60 degrees.
