Red Cherry to Open in Walpole Next Week

Donna and Bill Sidiropoulos never thought they’d be opening up a frozen yogurt store but here they are in Walpole doing just that.

“We just thought this was a really interesting and fun concept,” Donna Sidiropoulos said.

The concept is Red Cherry, a self serve frozen yogurt shop at the corner of Main and Front streets. Looking into the building, you can see seven self serve machines. Sidiropoulos said they will have 21 different flavors, seven different syrups (chocolate, caramel, etc.) and 50 toppings for the store.

The Sidiropoulos' said it was their daughter, Evelynn who sold them on starting the business.

“She was very excited about it,” Donna said. “She said it was something we should look into and she really sold us on the idea, and she’s going to run the business.”

Donna Sidiropoulos said Evelynn brought her and Bill to a self serve yogurt restaurant and they thought it was a great idea. She said 15 years ago, she and her husband were in the food business, but they felt it was time to come back.

“It just looked like something we’d really enjoy doing,” Donna Sidiropoulos said.

Donna Sidiropoulos added if everything goes according to plan they should have the business up and running by Wednesday, May 22.
