Ursuline Academy Graduates Sixty-One
61 young women graduated from Ursuline Academy this spring, including seven Walpole residents.
WALPOLE, MA - From the desk of Ursuline Academy: Sixty-one young women, including seven Walpole residents, graduated from Ursuline Academy on Sunday, June 4, 2017, joining the ranks of Ursuline alumnae worldwide. The ceremony was held outdoors on the grounds of Ursuline Academy in the shadow of the historic Ursuline Convent. Alumna Regina Sullivan ’78, BA, JD, returned to deliver the keynote address. Ms. Sullivan is an Executive Vice President at Fidelity Investments and Head of Global Shared Services and
Operations for Fidelity International. In 2016 she was recognized as one of the Top 50 Power Women by Irish America Magazine, and one of 40 Powerful Women leading tech around the world by the Silicon Republic (Ireland). The graduating class includes the following residents of Walpole:
- Sarah Cady, daughter of Lisa and Thomas Cady. She will be attending Auburn University in the fall.
- Bridget Cahill, daughter of Mary and Joseph Cahill. She will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall. Miss Cahill was the recipient of the Fine Arts Award.
- Clare Heffernan, daughter of Eileen and Stephen Heffernan. Miss Heffernan was the recipient of the National Latin Exam Certificate of Honorable Merit Magna Cum Laude. She will be attending The University of Rochester in the fall.
- Emma Luniewicz, daughter of Mary and Stanley Luniewicz. She will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall.
- Shannon McCafferty, daughter of Barbara and Edward McCafferty. She will be attending the University of Pittsburgh in the fall.
- Elizabeth Ronan, daughter of Maura and James Ronan. She will be attending Northeastern University in the fall. The National Merit Scholarship Program recognized Miss Ronan for her exceptional achievement on the PSAT exam, administered nationwide to more than 1.5 million students annually. Miss Ronan was also the recipient of the French Prize.
- Catherine Sullivan, of East Walpole, daughter of Denise and Joseph Sullivan. She will be attending Bentley University in the fall.
