Walpole Community to Gather at United Church Wednesday for Boston Marathon Victims

The gathering will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The United Church of Walpole.

In the wake of Monday’s tragedy at the Boston Marathon, communities around the world have come together to show their support for the victims of the attacks.

On Wednesday, Walpole will join those communities with a gathering outside of The United Church of Walpole on Common Street, according to the town’s website.

“After the Boston Marathon tragedy, an outside community gathering with lighting of candles, scripture reading, prayers, songs and walking a Labyrinth will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at The United Church of Walpole,” the website said.

Walpole had 20 residents participate in Monday’s marathon with six crossing the finish line prior to the explosions near the finish line. All 20 residents have been accounted for and are safe.
