Event organizer Aicha Kelley shares the details of this year's event, which is set to be held on Saturday, May 18th.

Walpole is preparing for its sixth annual Walpole Day festivities this Saturday.
Walpole Park and Recreation program director Aicha Kelley said this year's event will have more to offer than in year's past.
“The parade will have more floats this year,” she said. “This will be the second year that we have the 5K on Monday and REMAX balloon ride.”

Festivities will also include a Wacky Quacky Duck Race.
Judges will award outstanding float makers with various prizes. Local restaurants and caterers will provide a food court. There will be school and town groups with fundraising activities like face painting, crafts, kids’ games, rides, and more.
A Teen Band Showcase will perform the music for the day. Capell said she has loved planning the day since its inception six years ago.
“I love Walpole, it’s a great community and everybody comes out,” she said. “Whether they’re a business, a youth group, a school, a church, and everyone gets to be together. Everyone gets to celebrate Walpole Day.”
