Walpole Fire Log: Cars Crashes and a Building Evacuation

The following incidents were reported by the Walpole Fire Department.

Walpole Fire and EMS made 32 transports to local hospitals and responded to 49 calls from May 20-26.

May 20

2:39 p.m. Caller reported a smoke condition in the basement. Walpole Fire found the problem in the heating system. The basement was ventilated.

May 21

5:41 a.m. Caller reported a two-vehicle collision on Washington Street. One patient was transported to Norwood Hospital.

May 23

11:17 a.m. Caller reported a gas main dug up on a construction site. All buildings were evacuated and the gas was shut off.

May 24

6:33 a.m. Walpole EMS transported one patient to Norwood Hospital because of a fire in Medfield.
