Walpole Man Admits To Filming Nude Children

BOSTON, MA — A Walpole man admitted in U.S. District Court Monday to filming underage girls he knew in the nude.

Steven Bennett, 52, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of children. Sentencing is scheduled for July 18. Bennett has been in custody since his arrest in May 2017, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Bennett's arrest came following an April 2017 investigation into various individuals seeking nude pictures of underage girls on Craigslist. After a search warrant was executed at his home, Bennett admitted to secretly recording two underage girls he knew. Subsequent forensic analysis of several devices seized from Bennett during the search revealed more than 100 videos of the girls in the nude, the U.S. Attorney's office said in a release.

Bennett faces 15-30 years in prison, at least five years of probation, and a fine up to $250,000 for each charge.
