Walpole Man Buys First Wormtown Brewing Co. Beer for One Fund Boston
Walpole's Steve Dion bought the first 4:09 pale ale at CBS Scene in Foxborough Wednesday to support Marathon victims through the One Fund Boston.
When Steve Dion walked into CBS Scene at Patriot Place with his family Wednesday it was to celebrate his wife's new job but the Walpole resident ended up doing a lot more than that after learning of a new beer on tap.
Dion was the first person to buy a glass of 4:09 pale ale from Wormtown Brewing Co., which was unveiled at the Foxborough sports bar at 4:09 p.m. Wednesday in honor of the one-month anniversary of the bombings at the Boston Marathon.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from 4:09 pale ale will be donated to The One Fund and Dion was happy to do his part and give back to an important cause.

"This is pretty phenomenal,” said Dion after purchasing the first 4:09 pale ale at CBS Scene. “I just happened to walk into this [fundraiser]. My wife just got a new job so we are out celebrating. … [The beer is] for a great cause and it’s delicious.”
CBS Scene was just one of five locations selected by Quality Beverage to carry the 4:09 pale ale keg from Wormtown Brewing Co.

CBS Scene General Manager Rob Christensen said he expected the special keg to be kicked during Thursday night’s Boston Bruins playoff game against the New York Rangers.
“We will do most of our damage [with this fundraiser] Thursday for the Bruins game,” Christensen said. “[The keg] will probably be gone by the first period.”
And once the 13.2 gallon keg is gone the fundraiser ends and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the One Fund.
