Walpole Man to Compete in 31st Annual Run of the Charles Canoe and Kayak Race

Walpole's Tim Bailey will be competing in the 24-Mile Corporate Relay Race in April.

Walpole resident Tim Bailey has registered for the Charles River Watershed Association’s (CRWA) 31st Annual Run of the Charles Canoe and Kayak Race.

The race, scheduled for Sunday, April 28, draws approximately 1,500 paddlers and thousands of spectators.

Bailey is entered in the 24-Mile Corporate Relay Race.

The race features paddling races for levels from expert to beginner. 

The 24-mile relay begins at Great Plain Avenue on the Dedham/Needham line and ends Artesani Park in Dedham.

At Artesani Park, there will be live music from Wayland band Mid Life Crisis, who play oldies, classic rock, motown, R&B and new wave.

Vendors will be on site to showcase their products and talents, food will be for sale and there will also be a playground for children of all ages to use.

Registration will be open up to and including race day, but it is recommended that racers register now to avoid late fees.
