Adam D. Brierley Dies at 28; Graduate of Walpole High School

Brierley moved to Norwood after graduating from Walpole High School and UMass Lowell.

Adam D. Brierley, 28 of Norwood, passed away on March 11, 2013 after a long illness.

Adam was a graduate of Walpole High School and UMass Lowell. Adam was the general manager of Cook and Brown restaurant and had worked for the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless. He was a vegan, a lover and protector of animals. He loved music and enjoyed camping in Blueberry Hill in Plymouth.

Adam was the beloved son of David F. and Barbara L. (Wiik) Brierley of Norwood; devoted brother of Mark Brierley of Norwood; cherished grandson of the late Roy and Betty Brierley and Urho and Sylvia Wiik. He was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service was held Saturday, March 16 at the First Congregational Church of Norwood, 100 Winter Street, Norwood. Interment followed the service in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Relatives and friends gathered on Friday, March 15 from 4-8 p.m. at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood.
