Walpole Obituary: Joseph F. Eldracher
Mr. Eldracher was a resident of Walpole for 43 years and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained while serving during WWII.

Joseph F. Eldracher age 92 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 13, 1920, he was the son of the late John A. and Mary J. (Clabby) Eldracher. He graduated from Sharon High School with the class of 1937. Mr. Eldracher proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in action. He has been a long time resident of Sharon, Massachusetts and lived in Walpole, Massachusetts for 43 years.
Mr. Eldracher began his printing career at the Plimpton Press in Norwood and worked his way up to plant manager. He then opened his own company, Eldracher Printing Company in Norwood.
He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Sharon Country Club for 20 years and the Franklin Country Club in the 1980’s. He was an avid Boston Sports fan and enjoyed following both the Red Sox and the Celtics. He always had a positive outlook on life.

Most of all, Mr. Eldracher was a family man, who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Beloved husband of the late Pauline Ann (Lumsden) Eldracher. Loving father of Kevin F. and his wife Susan Eldracher of Norfolk,and Elizabeth A. Robertson of Sharon. Cherished grandfather of Kathryn Berchtold, Jason Berchtold, Anthony Barbato, Dillon Barbato, Rachel Eldracher, and Joseph Eldracher. Great grandfather of Braelyn and Rylee Barbato. Brother of the late Mary Sullivan, the late John Eldracher, and the late Virginia Boyd.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows 59 Cottage Street Sharon on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 4 to 8PM at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
