Walpole Obituary: William J. "Bill" Adami

Mr. Adami graduated from Walpole High School in 1974.

William J. Adami, age 56, of New Castle, DE and formerly of Walpole, MA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 28, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Bill has been with Easter Seals Delaware & Maryland's Eastern Shore, Inc. for more than 20 years in a variety of leadership roles. In March 2008, Bill became the President/CEO. His 30+ year career in disability services was driven by his passion that people with disabilities should have opportunities to be engaged in their community.

Bill centered each day of his life around his loving wife and his family. He adored his wife, Anne, and his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Bill was a great cook, enjoyed reading, and cheering on all New England sports teams.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Anne D. Adami; son, Andrew G. Adami; daughters, Lindsay A. Adami and Katherine M. Adami; his mother, Frances T. Adami; sister, Ellen A. Fortin and husband Stephen; and a hosts of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and in-laws; James F. Dunn and wife Susan, Veronica Doherty and husband Michael, Susan Tamul and husband Edward, Mary A. Dunn, Joseph M. Dunn and wife Carmen. He was preceded in death by his father, George C. Adami.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 from 5pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 2nd at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 345 Bear Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701 at 1pm. Burial will be private.
