Walpole Rec Hosting April Vacation Camp for Kids

The camp runs from Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $40 a day.

While it may be April vacation for your favorite young student, you may still have to go to work this week.

Walpole Recreation will be doing their best to keep kids occupied and active throughout the week with their April vacation camp.

The camp will be held at Blackburn Hall from Tuesday, April 16 to Friday April 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lauren Macomber, program director for Walpole Rec talked about some of the activities the camp will have.

“We do games upstairs in the gym like floor hockey, dodge ball. We’ll do flag football if the weather is nice enough. We’ll have crafts in the art room,” she said.

She even has an inflatable jump house that she says is one of the favorites of the kids.

“That’s my secret weapon," said Macomber.

The cost of the camp is $40 a day and kids must bring their own lunch and snacks.

“It’s $40 a day which is way cheaper than a babysitter if you have to go to work,” Macomber said.

The camp has space for up to 40 people. To register visit www.walpolerec.com.

“It’s just a really fun place to go instead of staying at home watching TV,” she said. “It’s just going to be nonstop having a good time, exercising and being active.”
