Walpole Resident to Feature in The Great Gatsby

Isaac Parsons of Walpole discusses Moonstruck Theater Company's production of The Great Gatsby, which will be presented live on stage.

MOONSTRUCK THEATER COMPANY, in association with Amazing Things Art Center of Framingham, is pleased to present the regional premiere of the American classic THE GREAT GATSBY, opening Friday, October 24, and running for seven performances through Sunday, November 2.

THE GREAT GATSBY, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Jazz Age fable of doomed love and careless wealth, will be presented live on stage as you have never seen it before. This exciting new version, reinterpreted for the stage by Simon Levy, brings the American classic to life through the music of the era. Song and dance from the 1920s will accompany Levy’s exhilarating script to create an immersive theatrical experience.

THE GREAT GATSBY features 15 performers from the Boston and Metro West regions, including Wapole resident, Isaac Parsons.

THE GREAT GATSBY marks Parsons’ third show with Moonstruck, having been involved with Spectacular, Spectacular! and Cabaret. “Regardless if you’ve seen an interpretation of THE GREAT GATSBY before, I can guarantee that you haven’t seen it like this,” Parsons says, “The addition of era appropriate music to the play is something that hasn’t been done before. We’re really excited how it’s turning out.”

Parsons has been involved with theater since high school with favorite past roles including Melchoir in Spring Awakening, Herr Shultz in Cabaret and Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol. “It was the only “evil” role I had, and it was a lot of fun,” he says.
