Walpole Veterans Services Officer Seeks Volunteers to Replace U.S. Flags at Gravestones
Volunteers will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Town Hall parking lot.

Walpole Veterans Services Officer Jon Cogan plans to replace all the U.S. flags at the gravestones of veterans in town on Saturday and is looking for volunteers.
“We will be honoring the veterans from Walpole by replacing all the U.S. flags at the gravestones,” Cogan said in an online message posted on Facebook. “Volunteers would be greatly appreciated.”
Cogan says he and the volunteers will meet at the Town Hall parking lot for some coffee/water and donuts at 9 a.m. Saturday.

“Once we have everyone we will break off into groups to cover all Walpole cemeteries,” Cogan said. “This may take anywhere between 2 to 4 hours to finish.”
Cogan doesn’t expect anyone to stay for the entire duration and encourages anyone to stop by for some time Saturday to assist.
