When Will the Heat Wave End? Heavy Rain in the Forecast For Walpole

After three days of record-breaking heat, showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will drop from the 90s, bringing some extreme-heat relief.

Heavy rain will the main threat of these storms, according to the National Weather Service. Both showers and storms are expected to be slow moving.

Rain is expected to move into the region on Thursday afternoon and continue throughout most of the day on Friday before clearing out Friday night.

2 p.m. - 79 degrees, mostly cloudy

3 p.m. - 75, showers (chance of rain 45 percent)

4 p.m. - 75, showers (chance of rain 50 percent)

5 p.m. - 74, showers (chance of rain 50 percent)

6 p.m. - 74, rain (chance of rain 60 percent)

7 p.m. - 72, rain (chance of rain 60 percent)

8 p.m. - 70, rain (chance of rain 60 percent)

9 p.m. - 68, rain (chance of rain 80 percent)

10 p.m. - 66, rain (chance of rain 85 percent)

11 p.m. - 65, rain (chance of rain 85 percent)

Midnight - 64, rain (chance of rain 95 percent)
